Up in Arms

I'm absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to show my painting, Anatomy lesson in Nashville. The painting was selected to be part of the Traveling Museum Project (TMP2) for The Museum of Contemporary Art Nashville (MOCAN), in partnership with Cë Gallery and Arts4Impact. The exhibition entitled Up in Arms will be on display at the Merritt Mansion, 441 Humphrys Street, Nashville August 5-12, 2023. The opening reception will coincide with the WeHo Art Crawl on August 5, 2023, from 5-7:00 pm.

Escape was selected as one of ten finalists for a feature article in Artist Magazine about working artists over 60. The magazine will be available on newsstands starting in late February 2022.

Narrative Still Life Exhibition 2021

The illusion of shame placed in the top ten and received an honorable mention in a national narrative still life competition sponsored by the Catholic Art Institute in Chicago. Anatomy lesson and Object were also selected as finalists. The caliber and creativity of the artists represented in the show are top-notch.

Breaking Through: The Rise of American Women Artists

I'm honored to have my painting, Escape, selected as a finalist in this national juried museum show sponsored by American Women Artists. If you're in the Nashville area, I'd love to see you at the artists' reception on March 12th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Customs House Art Museum in Clarksville, TN. The show runs from March 5 through May 9, 2022.

Presented in conjunction with Rising Voices 2: The Bennett Prize for Women Figurative Realist Painters, February 3 through April 24, 2022.

FiKVA

Escape has been selected as a finalist in the International FiKVA Award for Painters 2022. It placed in the top 35 out of 1012 entries from 65 countries. Indeed an honor to be selected alongside so many mind-blowing artists.

The award is sponsored by the FiKVA-foundation (Figuratieve Kunst Vandaag), a non-profit organization based in Antwerp that promotes contemporary realism and figurative arts.

The illusion of shame is part of a group show at the beautiful Customs House Art Museum in Clarksville, TN. This invitational exhibition features fourteen national, award-winning artists showcasing a variety of styles that celebrate the still life genre. It runs from June 1 through August 30, 2023. The opening reception is on Saturday, June 10th, from 5 to 7 PM.

Studio Visit Magazine

I'm thrilled to be included in the forthcoming issue 51 of Studio Visit magazine. Produced by the publishers of New American Paintings, the magazine is a juried artist book featuring up-and-coming contemporary artists. It is received by 2,000 curators and gallerists throughout the country as well as a growing subscriber base of collectors and art enthusiasts.
